How Many Times to Write ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ

6 years and under 5,500 times (kids do Simran, elders write)
7 to 9 years old 7,500 times
9 to 12 years old 12,000 times
13 to 15 years old 15,000 times
16 to 20 years old 20,000 times
21 years and above 25,000 times

Instructions

  1. Use a new notebook to write ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ. Write your name, age, address, parent's name, and phone number on the cover.
  2. Beautiful Gurmukhi handwriting and a clean notebook will receive a special prize.
  3. To be part of the event and receive Guru's blessing, notebooks must be submitted to Gurdwara Nanaksar Sahib before Sept 13, 2026.
  4. Participants from all over North America can arrange notebook submission by contacting us through our Contact page.
  5. All participants will receive a participation gift. Those who submit a completed notebook (full count for their age group) will also receive a prize.
  6. "Waheguru" can be written in any language. There is no restriction on pen or pencil. Gurmukhi script is given preference in prize consideration.
  7. The Award Ceremony is on Sunday, Sept 25, 2026 at 4:30 – 6:00 PM in Surrey, BC.
